Rosalia Vila or Rosalia (Spanish for "Rosalia") Rosalia Vila (Spanish for "Rosalia") is Rosalia Vila is a Spanish singer and songwriter from Spain. She is a Flamenco and Pop artist. When she was a teenager she sang with traditional as well as popular music. Her music interests have widened to include hip-hop and soul. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, yet featuring the sharpness of older singers. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually receiving an Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd full-length album. It featured collaborations with fellow musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The set began to be released in conjunction with the Saturday Night Live performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first female to win one.
