Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as older boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. Following her move into America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of the traditional Latin American music at private events. She has been involved with a number of local organizations and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
